Türkçede Değiştirim ve Nehcü'l-Ferâdîs Örneği

Abstract

Substitution, which is one of the grammatical cohesion topics of textlinguistics; it is one of the surface structure elements that affect the arrangement of intertextual relations and increase the fluency and intelligibility of the text. There is a grammatical relationship between the element that takes place in the replacement and the element that replaces it at the noun level, verbal level and clausal level, and the tools that provide the replacement gain their meaning from the elements they replace. Many researchers have examined the subject of substitution, which is one of the most studied cohesive elements in textlinguistics studies, but it has been understood that the explanations about substitution do not give a clear answer to the question of what the substitution is or what it is not. In this study, some questions about substitution have been answered, the aspects that distinguish or approximate to substitution from reference and ellipsis have been determined, and the subject of which elements provide substitution in Turkish has been discussed. Based on the results obtained, the first chapter of Nehcü’l-Ferâdîs which one is one of the most important historical texts of the Turkish language, was examined and the textual relations provided through these elements were explained by determining the elements that provided the substitution.
